MORE ABOUT OUR SALSA CLASSES & STYLES
Currently* there are two types of Salsa On1 and Salsa On2. From this there are 3 main styles, Cuban Style Salsa, LA Style Salsa & New York Style Salsa (Mambo).
The salsa taught in all classes are the On1 types, Cuban Style On1 (Dile que no, Exhibela, Guapea) & LA Style (Cross-body lead, Left turn, Right turn). Sometimes (Not often), there’s the occasional New York Style sequence shown but only in the 3rd level - Intermediate class, these are explained & converted to On1.
*Salsa Dancing being a free-style form of expression & dance is always evolving and hence the word ‘currently’ is used.
All levels include footwork steps (Shines) and at high levels footwork in combinations (Shine combos) to make you stand out on the dance floor!
As well as teaching salsa dancing, there is also Merengue, Bachata and Reggaeton dancing taught for fun only at a basic level.
Each class is an hour long and costs £5 per person.
